Performance Cloud allows you to create custom packages to define specific resource limits for sites. Custom packages are created in WHM and then assigned to sites from the Performance Cloud dashboard.
Create a custom package in WHM
Configure the package in CloudLinux Manager
In WHM, use the search bar to open CloudLinux Manager.
Go to the Packages tab.
Find the package you created.
Click the Edit (pencil) icon.
Update the resource limits as needed, such as:
SPEED (CPU) - Range 50-200% - 50% low performance, 200% high, Ave.100%
PMEM - Range 384M - 2048M - 394 low , 2048 high, Ave 1024M
I/O - Range 1MB/s - 8MB/s - 1MB/s low - 8MB/s high, Ave 4MB/s
EP (Entry Processes) - Range 15- 40, Ave 20
Click Save.
Assign the custom package to a site
The site’s resource limits are updated to match the custom package.
Important notes
Custom packages override predefined package limits.
If resource limits are modified directly in CloudLinux Manager, the package view in the client area may not fully reflect those changes.
Performance Cloud simplifies package assignment, but advanced resource management is handled in WHM.
It’s inadvisable to set too many packages to a very high performance level as while you are allowed to oversell performance, if you oversell by too much you could degrade your overall performance. Should this happen you can upgrade your Performance Cloud package to a higher level. Please see How Resource Allocation Works Across Multiple Sites
