Your WebMojo site connects to your domain name with a single CNAME record, on the www subdomain. WebMojo does not use nameservers or an A record.
Your WebMojo site is reached at www.yourdomain.com. A bare domain — yourdomain.com, without www — cannot be connected to WebMojo. Visitors who type your address without www will not reach your site.
Before you start, you need:
An active WebMojo service in your Client Area
A registered domain name
Access to wherever your domain's DNS records are managed
Find your CNAME value
Log in to your Client Area.
Click Hosting & Websites.
Click your WebMojo service.
In the Product Details section, open the Domain Settings tab.
In the CNAME row, copy the value in the Target column.
The record shown is a CNAME on the name www, with the TTL and Target value to use.
Add the CNAME record to your domain
Add a CNAME record on the www subdomain of your domain, pointing to the Target value shown in your Client Area. Where you do this depends on where your domain's DNS is managed.
Your domain is registered with WHC, with no hosting plan
Domains registered with WHC use WHC's parking nameservers by default, so your DNS records are managed in the Advanced DNS Manager in your Client Area. Add a CNAME record with the name www and the Target value from your WebMojo service page. For the field-by-field steps, see how to add a CNAME record in your Client Area.
Your domain is on a WHC web hosting plan
Your DNS records are managed in the cPanel Zone Editor. Edit the existing www CNAME record and point it to the Target value from your WebMojo service page. For the steps to open the Zone Editor, see how to change DNS records.
On a hosting plan, the www CNAME points to the website in your cPanel account. Once you point it to WebMojo, www.yourdomain.com serves your WebMojo site instead of the site hosted in cPanel.
Your DNS zone is hosted with another provider
Add the same www CNAME record using that provider's DNS management tool, with the Target value from your WebMojo service page.
Check that it worked
Your domain is connected when www.yourdomain.com opens your WebMojo site.
DNS changes are not immediate. Allow a few hours for the change to take effect — see how DNS propagation works.
An SSL certificate (HTTPS) is issued automatically once your domain resolves to WebMojo. If your domain already pointed to WebMojo, the certificate is active right away. Otherwise, it is issued once propagation completes.
Use your preview link before your domain is connected
Every WebMojo project has a permanent preview link, shown in your Client Area and in the builder dashboard. You can use and share this link at any time, including after you connect your own domain.
