Connect your WHC email to Outlook on a Windows or Mac computer, or to the Outlook app on your phone. Both use IMAP with the same settings, so your inbox stays in sync everywhere.
Before you start
You need an email address that already exists, and its password. If you haven't created one yet, see how to create and manage email accounts.
Your email password is the one you set for the address itself — not your cPanel password and not your Client Area password.
The settings Outlook asks for
Field | Value |
Username | Your full email address, for example |
Incoming server (IMAP) |
|
Outgoing server (SMTP) |
|
Replace yourdomain.com with your own domain name. For where these come from and what to do if your DNS is hosted elsewhere, see how to set up your email in a mail app.
Which version of Outlook do you have?
Outlook on a computer comes in two layouts, and the menus differ. Open Outlook and look at the top of the window:
If you see a View tab, follow Outlook on Windows or Mac below.
If you see a File menu instead, follow Classic Outlook below.

Enter your full email address, then tap Continue.
If the app asks you to choose a provider, tap IMAP.
Enter your email password. If the app can't find your settings on its own, tap the option to enter advanced or manual settings.

mail.yourdomain.com, port993, security type SSL/TLS, and your full email address as the username. For the SMTP outgoing server, enter
mail.yourdomain.com, port465, security type SSL/TLS, and your full email address as the username.Tap the checkmark or Sign In to finish.
Confirm it worked
Send a message from your new account to another address you can check, then reply to it. You'll know the setup is complete when the reply arrives in Outlook. Sending and receiving use different servers, so test both.
